Amount limitations

Purchase for medicinal usage is restricted to 228 grams (8 oz) of cannabis flower per day.
Purchase for recreational usage is limited to 28.5 grams (1 oz) of cannabis flower, or 8 grams of cannabis concentrate per day.

Location restrictions

Truckee cannabis laws state that cannabis can be enjoyed by:

local residents within the comfort and security of their own home.

and

by visitors and guests within their temporary dwellings.

But cannabis, even though it may be legal, should NOT be consumed:

in any public area.
in any location where tobacco smoking is prohibited

within 1,000 feet of any school, youth center or daycare.

While the enjoyment of cannabis is a wonderful thing, it is important to use common sense and not risk your safety and the safety of others by driving under the influence. Marijuana products should also not be transported across state lines.
